Be Village Inc. is based in Otari Village, at the foot of the Northern Japan Alps in Nagano Prefecture. We run car rental services in Hakuba, Omachi and Matsumoto, along with ski and snowboard rental, accommodation partnerships, a cafe, wellness services, and tours and activities — connecting how you move, stay and experience this region.

Our name joins “Be” and “Village”: a business that is genuinely present in this place, rather than one that simply rides the tourist season.
From the station to your lodge, from the lodge to the slopes or a hot spring in the hills — public transport in this area is limited, and that has long been the first hurdle for visitors. Starting with car rental, we bring together equipment rental, accommodation partnerships and places to rest, so the journey itself takes less effort.

A message from our founder
The foot of the Northern Japan Alps offers something worth seeing in every season. Yet getting from the station to your lodge, and from there to the slopes or a trailhead, is far from simple. Again and again we have heard from visitors who could not reach the places they had come for.
Be Village exists to fill those gaps. Starting from car rental, we bring together winter equipment, partnerships with local accommodation, and places to rest and recover, so that the travelling itself asks less of you.
Just as important is building something the region can sustain. We chose “Village” for our name because we want to be rooted here, not simply to ride the tourist season. Our aim is work that means something both to those who visit and to those who live here.

Car rental
Three brands across Hakuba, Omachi and Matsumoto, centred on 4WD vehicles with studless winter tyres as standard.
Ski & snowboard rental
Bulky winter gear can be arranged together with your car, so you can travel light and head straight for the slopes.
Accommodation partnerships
We work with local inns, hotels and guesthouses to combine lodging with vehicles and gear, including handover at the property.
Cafe
A place to pause between drives, where travellers and local residents share the same table.

Care for tired legs after a long day on the mountain, so you can start the next one in good shape.
